Neutral delay differential equations have been widely used in science and engineering fields such as biology, physics, control theory, and so on. In this paper, we use a single hidden layer Laguerre neural network based on the extreme learning machine (ELM) optimization algorithm to solve them. Firstly, according to the delay function, we choose the overall simulation or segmented simulation, construct the corresponding linear matrix containing all the information of the equation. Then, by combining the ELM optimization algorithm with the optimal output layer weights to obtain the optimal approximation solution of the model problem. We also briefly analyze the convergence of the method. Finally, the efficiency of Laguerre neural network algorithm based the ELM optimization is verified by numerical simulations of various delay problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
