The article examines the effect of the use of programming resources for data processing on management. The author discusses models for centralization of the programming resources and the utilization of programming resources by function and a real composition of size. The author states that major advances in technology seem to have only marginal impact on organization outputs and the chief impediment to rationalization is organization.
